We are seeking a detail-oriented Service Engineer to join a growing technical team responsible for the diagnosis, repair, calibration, and testing of sophisticated electronic and imaging products. The Role
Working as part of a collaborative engineering team, you will be responsible for fault finding, repairing, testing, and calibrating electronic equipment to the highest quality standards. You will play a key role in ensuring customers receive reliable, high-performing products and technical support.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair electronic products to component level
- Perform detailed fault-finding and root cause analysis
- Carry out calibration, testing, and adjustment of equipment
- Use electronic test equipment including oscilloscopes, multimeters, and other diagnostic tools
- Install software and firmware updates where required
- Maintain accurate service and repair records
- Liaise with internal teams to provide updates on repair progress
- Ensure all work is completed in line with quality and safety standards
- Participate in ongoing technical training and skill development
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in electronics repair, service engineering, test engineering, or electronic assembly
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Experience using electronic test and measurement equipment
- Understanding of calibration, metrology, or laboratory-based processes
- Ability to interpret technical documentation and schematics
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Relevant electronics qualification, apprenticeship, or equivalent industry experience
Desirable Experience
- Thermal imaging, cameras, optics, or imaging systems
- Embedded systems and firmware updates
- SAP, Oracle, or other ERP/service management systems
- Calibration laboratory or regulated manufacturing environments
