Meet Alex

I work within our Utilities Team, specialising in sourcing and engaging with Dual Fuel Smart Meter Engineers to work for us in our contracting business.

My primary role involves identifying talented and experienced professionals and matching them with the best opportunity for them within our business to ensure projects are supported by the right engineering talent, contributing to safe, efficient and successful delivery.

Additional duties include the delivery of skilled engineers for our clients within the Utilities and Renewable Heating sectors.

What attracted you to working at Orion, and what were your reasons for joining?

When I was initially referred to apply for a role at Orion, I found that my skills were well suited to the type of businesses that Orion were supporting.

Over the 15 years that I have worked with Orion things have evolved immeasurably.

What is your proudest achievement at Orion?

I am particularly proud of contributing to the progress our team has made. Having worked through a particularly challenging period to win a number of company awards including Team of the Year. This reflects a lot of hard work and commitment from the whole of our team.

What do you enjoy most about your role at Orion?

I enjoy the collaboration and teamwork aspect of my role. Working day to day with my team and my colleagues across Orion as a whole.

What are your interests outside of work?

Outside of work, I love to spend most of my time with my wife and our 3 children. I recently came out of a 10-year retirement to play cricket again and hope this season is better than last!
