Meet Ellis

I’m a Recruitment Consultant within Orion’s Delivery Team, specialising in the Manufacturing sector. My role centres around building strong relationships with candidates, understanding their skills, experience and career aspirations, and connecting them with opportunities that align with their goals.

I work closely with both candidates and clients to ensure the right talent is matched with the right roles, helping businesses secure the people they need while supporting individuals in taking the next step in their careers.

What attracted you to working at Orion, and why did you join?

I chose to join Orion Electrotech because it operates within a market I’m genuinely passionate about. Before joining, I had heard fantastic feedback about the company’s reputation, culture and success within the industry, which made it an opportunity I was eager to pursue.

Being part of Orion gives me the chance to develop professionally within a respected and high-performing organisation, while contributing to the continued success of both our clients and candidates.

What is your proudest achievement at Orion so far?

Although I’m still relatively new to Orion Electrotech, I’m proud to have made several successful placements within my first few weeks. Seeing candidates secure new opportunities and knowing I’ve played a part in that journey has been incredibly rewarding.

Those early successes reflect the proactive approach I bring to recruitment, my commitment to building strong candidate relationships and my ability to understand the needs of both clients and candidates. I’m excited to continue building on this momentum and developing further within the team.

What do you enjoy most about your role at Orion?

The most rewarding part of my role is speaking with candidates and helping them secure opportunities that can have a genuine impact on their careers.

I enjoy taking the time to understand what motivates people, what they are looking for in their next move and how I can support them throughout the recruitment process. Knowing that I’ve helped someone find a role they are excited about is what drives me every day and makes the job so fulfilling.

What are your interests outside of work?

Outside of work, I enjoy staying active and making the most of new experiences. Football and padel keep me competitive and fit, while hiking gives me the opportunity to switch off, explore new places and enjoy the outdoors.

I’m also a big fan of discovering great restaurants and trying different cuisines, whether that’s with friends, family or simply enjoying good food in good company.
