George Clegg

I’m a delivery consultant, working with construction companies of all shapes and sizes to help them find the contractors they need. My role is all about understanding what the client is looking for and delivering qualified, trustworthy and reliable contractors quickly and efficiently. It’s a fast-paced role where being responsive and getting the right people in place at the right time is really important.

What attracted you to working at Orion, and what were your reasons for joining?

I was really attracted by the opportunity to work with contractors again, as well as the career progression available at Orion. Another thing that stood out was how long many of the team have been with the business. That says a lot about the culture and how people are treated, and it gave me confidence that Orion was somewhere I could build a long-term career.

What do you enjoy most about your role at Orion?

I really enjoy the pace of the role. There’s always a strong demand for good-quality contractors, so I like the challenge of taking a new requirement and quickly finding the right people to support the client. Being able to respond at speed while still maintaining the quality of the contractors we provide makes the role really rewarding.

What are your interests outside of work?

I’m a huge sports fan and enjoy both watching and playing a number of different sports. I’m a keen golfer and a big Arsenal fan, and I also enjoy going to the gym. When I’m not doing something sports-related, I like getting outdoors and going for a walk, so anything that gets me out and about is usually a winner.
