Luke Donnellan

Meet Luke

I am a delivery consultant within Orion Electrotech specialising in Engineering and Manufacturing. I work closely with account managers, clients and candidates to deliver high-quality shortlists, manage the interview process and support businesses in securing the right technical talent. I take a structured, detail-driven approach and have a strong focus on communication, preparation and follow-through to ensure a positive outcome for all throughout the process.

What attracted you to working at Orion, and what were your reasons for joining?

What attracted me to Orion was the opportunity it presented me to do what I enjoy most, speaking with people and helping them secure genuinely good roles that offer long term progression. I enjoy being part of the performance driven culture and working in a job where hard work results in tangible improvements for both clients and businesses and an impact that can last over 20 years.

What is your proudest achievement at Orion?

My proudest achievement so far has been consistently connecting with high-quality engineering talent and successfully matching them to genuine business needs. I am proud of the strong start to my journey, consistently delivering high quality CV’s, interviews, and offers across multiple roles while building my understanding of the engineering market. Achieving positive results early on reinforced that I’m in the right environment and set a strong foundation for continued growth.

What do you enjoy most about your role at Orion?

What I enjoy most is speaking with, and understanding, the top talent in my area and learning what really matters to them. Then doing my upmost to matching them with a role where they can genuinely succeed, while also supporting clients under time pressure to build effective teams.

What are your interests outside of work?

Outside of work, for my sins, I am a lifelong Tottenham Hotspur fan, in addition to following my local team Wycombe wanderers. I enjoy travelling the world, experiencing cultures and environments far different to the one I am used to. I love getting outside going for hikes & runs and spending quality time with my loved ones.
